In the 1980s horror film "Midnight Execution" (10 to Midnight), Charles Bronson, a seasoned but unattractive film veteran, portrays a detective who apprehends a serial killer known for targeting women. Frustrated by the lack of evidence, the detective, named Charles Brownstone in the film, decides to fabricate proof to put the killer behind bars. However, his plan backfires when the killer is released and seeks revenge by targeting Brownstones daughter. The reason Brownstone struggles to find incriminating evidence against the killer is that the murderer always disrobes before each crime. Finding any clothing, pants, or shoes with bloodstains becomes an impossible task. This unique twist adds to the suspense and challenge faced by the detective. Meanwhile, the antagonist, played by Gene Davis, spends half of his screen time in the movie completely naked. The film strives for equality in its portrayal of nudity, with both male and female characters baring it all.For Davis, who had potential to pursue an idol image, starring in "Midnight Execution" turned out to be a poor decision. Besides constantly being naked, his character also suffers from a highly negative portrayal. Unfortunately, the films box office performance proved disappointing, suggesting that all the efforts were in vain. Perhaps the appeal of working with a renowned director, who previously helmed the original black and white versions of "Cape Fear" and "Navalon Cannon," initially attracted Davis to the project.
